St. George's Society Tour - February 4, 2012

On Saturday, February 4, 2012, The Laymen's Club hosted the St. George's Society of New York at a very special event... a tour of the seven Apsidal Chapels located in the Ambulatory, as well as a tour of the tributes to Saint George in the Nave and Great Choir. Our tour guides were two esteemed members of The Laymen's Club who are also regular Cathedral guides, namely, Ruth Mueller-Maerki and John Simko. Following the tours, we moved to Cathedral House for a luncheon and fellowship. Fifty-seven people attended. We were delighted to move forward with our mission of community outreach. Many individuals said they had never visited our Cathedral, and others claimed they had not visited for several years.
