What We Do

Founded in 1908, the Laymen's Club is responsible for a variety of Cathedral programs:

• provides the Pilgrims Pavement and other distinctive bronze medallions
• publishes guidebooks for the Cathedral
• sponsors annual lectures
• hosts visiting groups
• provides help, such as ushering, during holiday and special Cathedral services
• established the Cathedral Shop
• provides seed money for special projects, such as Cathedral homeless shelter and the Cathedral kitchen
• supports construction and maintenance of the Cathedral
